BOULDER — Starting Friday night, Boulder’s parks will be off limits to encampments and loiterers overnight.
City Manager Jane Brautigam signed the new rule at about 3 p.m. today, according to city officials.
The rule means that, starting Friday, all city-owned parks will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The city plans to post signs warning people about the new rule.
The new policy will not apply to people passing through parks, such as runners or cyclists. It will, however, apply to the Occupy Boulder encampment that has set up outside the Municipal Building at 1777 Broadway.
