DENVER—Denver shook off Friday’s upset at the hands of Alabama-Huntsville and beat the Chargers 5-2 Saturday to earn a split of their two-game men’s college hockey series.

The tenth-ranked Pioneers (11-8-3) led 5-1 after two periods as five different players notched goals.

Shawn Ostrow had one goal and one assist, and Ty Loney and Joey LaLeggia had two assists apiece.

Adam Murray made 22 saves, with a game-high 13 coming in the final period.

After picking up just its second win of the season the night before, UAH (2-22-1) managed just 24 shots on goal.

Justin Cseter and Michael Webley scored for the Chargers.

UAH goalie Clarke Saunders had 21 saves through two periods and was replaced by C.J. Groh, who had eight stops.
