DURANGO, Colo.—A Durango High School senior is protesting after student editors removed her yearbook photo over dress code violations.
Sydney Spies says her peers decided not to run her submitted photo as a senior portrait.
The photo shows Spies wearing a short yellow skirt with a black shawl that exposes her shoulders and midsection.
The student editors tell the Durango Herald ( ) the picture could still run in a section reserved for paid senior advertisements.
