Two Metropolitan State College of Denver students were involved in a traffic accident near the Auraria Campus on Monday and the SUV they were in landed on its side.
No one was injured in the accident, which happened at about noon near the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Kalamath Street.
Lindsay Root, 21, a sophomore at Metro, was driving the Toyota 4Runner when the accident occurred. Her house mate, Millie Ward, 22, a junior at Metro, was a passenger in the SUV.
The women said the Toyota was involved in a collision with another vehicle, it went up on two wheels – the front and back on the driver’s side – and then tipped.
Both women were buckled-up in the SUV.
