Centennial-based United Launch Alliance has received a $1.52 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force for nine rocket launches.

A list of U.S. defense contracts published Tuesday showed the contract covers five Atlas V rockets and four Delta IV rockets.

The work, which will be done at ULA’s Decatur, Ala., facility, runs through mid-2014. Meteorological, intelligence and GPS satellites will be launched.

ULA is a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and the Boeing Co.
