DURANGO, Colo.—Three people now face perjury charges in the July 2010 shooting death of a downtown Durango restaurant manager.
The Durango Herald reports ( ) Ted Garcia’s 62-year-old mother-in-law Susan Gray faces perjury charges and is being held in the La Plata County Jail. A number listed for her is inoperable and it’s unclear whether she has an attorney.
Gray’s daughter Suzanne Garcia, who was married to Ted Garcia, also faces perjury charges. Suzanne Garcia’s half-sister also faces perjury charges.
Gray’s son, Joseph Dernoga, faces 10 charges in connection with Ted Garcia’s death. Ted Garcia was the manager of Francisco’s Restaurante Y Cantina on Main Avenue.
Investigators found a high-powered rifle next to Ted Garcia’s body and determined a bullet wound to his upper body was not self-inflicted.
