Prosecutors formally filed first-degree murder charges this morning against Michael Clark in the 1994 shooting death of Marty Grisham, who, at the time, was Boulder’s director of information services.
Grisham was shot four times in the head and chest after answering a knock at his apartment door on the evening of Nov. 1, 1994. No one saw the gunman.
Clark, a friend of Grisham’s daughter, was accused of and pleaded guilty to stealing and forging checks from Grisham, and police considered him a suspect at the time.
Clark denied any involvement in the murder, and he was not arrested in connection with the homicide at the time.
