COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Authorities in Colorado Springs say they have arrested two people being sought in connection with a deadly shooting last fall in Phoenix.
Colorado Springs police say a 20-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and a juvenile was arrested earlier in the week in the death of Awarah Sabir.
According to the Colorado Springs Gazette ( ), the suspects were not identified. Authorities say Sabir was found dead inside a car that rolled on Oct. 22 onto the front yard of a house in northwest Phoenix. He died of a gunshot wound.
Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Tommy Thompson said Friday that detectives believe the shooting was drug-related. He declined to identify the suspects because the investigation was ongoing.
Thompson didn’t know when the suspects would be returned to Phoenix.
