MONTROSE — Gov. John Hickenlooper is inviting artists and what he calls “creative entrepreneurs” to Montrose to talk about developing “creative districts” in several Western Slope towns.

The governor said at a forum Saturday that he wants to talk with leaders of the creative industries.

Hickenlooper also was touring West Star Aviation in Grand Junction and attending the annual conference of the Colorado Outfitters Association this weekend.

The governor will be back in Denver on Monday to observe the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday with U.S. Sen. Mark Udall, U.S. Rep. Diana DeGette and Mayor Michael Hancock.
