The Denver Center Theatre Company has canceled tonight’s performance of “The Whale” due to the illness of a cast member.
The company expects the show to return Wednesday evening.
Cancellations are rare at the Denver Center, but plays presented in the 250-seat Ricketson Theatre, usually smaller-budget plays with smaller casts, are produced without understudies.
‘The Whale,” a drama about an obese man being reunited with his estranged teenage daughter, is one of the company’s most-anticipated shows this season.
