DENVER—Police have obtained an arrest warrant for a man suspected in two Denver-area store robberies in which pepper spray was used.
Denver police said Tuesday they have an arrest warrant for 27-year-old Richard Slate.
Slate is suspected in a Walmart robbery Jan. 8 in which a security officer was pepper sprayed.
On Jan. 10, SuperTarget store employees trying to stop a man and woman suspected of shoplifting were pepper sprayed by a third person.
Police say Slate is associated with a 2010 maroon or red Kia Sedan with Florida plate Z7AJZ.
Last week, police arrested 28-year-old Brittany Burton-Zamora in connection with the SuperTarget case.
