A Centennial company that sold anabolic steroids disguised as dietary supplements was sentenced in federal court Wednesday to one year of probation.
Axis Labs also was ordered to pay $107,000 to an asset-forfeiture fund and another $50,000 in fines, according to the U.S. attorney’s office. In 2008 and 2009, Axis sold a product called “Monster Caps” that it marketed as a supplement when the firm knew it contained synthetic steroids, according to a plea agreement in the case.
