ARVADA — Dylan Carter, an All-Colorado running back by The Denver Post in 2011, has committed to the University of Sioux Falls.
The 6-foot, 194-pound Carter recently visited the South Dakota school and knew it was for him.
“The education is ridiculous and has everything I was looking for,” he said Wednesday. “They have a great nursing program and it was amazing how nice they were.”
Carter, among Class 5A’s top rushers and scorers, led the Pomona Panthers to the state semifinals before injury and illness limited his effectiveness. At Sioux Falls, he will play safety.
“I’ve always wanted to play defense,” he said. “I think this is a perfect spot for me, and I’m looking forward to it.”
