Tami Door, the Downtown Denver Partnership chief, has been named the 2012 9News Leader of the Year by the television station and the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation.
Door manages a $9 million budget dedicated to boosting business in downtown Denver by attracting corporate headquarters and retailers, as well as handling public policy, transportation and housing initiatives.
As the head of the Downtown Denver Partnership, Door led an 18-month process to create the Downtown Area Plan, a 20-year vision for Downtown Denver.
In addition, Door and the DDP produce community events each year that bring more than one million people downtown.
She will receive the 9News Leader of the Year award during the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation’s inaugural Celebrating Civic Leadership luncheon on April 5 at the Denver Marriott City Center.
