Vail said Wednesday that it will open portions of Sun Up Bowl and China Bowl today, with portions of Blue Sky Basin opening Friday.
The announcement comes after Vail received 16 inches of snow during the past week. Its base depth is 29 inches. Vail’s forecast calls for 2 to 3 inches falling through today, with more possibly coming Friday.
