According to Aurora Public Schools, a transformer issue caused a power outage at Hinkley High School Friday.
Due to the outage, officials had to cancel school for the day.
Students who ride the bus normally were picked up early and dropped off at their regular bus stops.
There are no afternoon or evening practices or activities scheduled for the rest of the day due to the power loss.
