Proponents of charter schools, homeschooling, choice among public schools and, yes, vouchers, will gather Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Colorado’s own school-choice epicenter, Castle Rock.
The event, at the Douglas County Events Center, is one of 50 taking place across the country as part of National School choice Week, according to organizers.
Supporters of National School Choice Week believe that parents should have more power to choose schools for their children, and advocate the expansion of programs and initiatives that encourage school choice.
Tuesday’s event, called Restoring American Exceptionalism, will feature Dick Morris, former confidant of and strategist for Bill Clinton, whose transformation to conservatism has made him a conservative talk-show mainstay. Conservative radio talk-show host Hugh Hewitt will also speak at the event.
Douglas County Events Center is located at 500 Fairgrounds Dr. Castle Rock.
