Denver police detectives have recovered a vehicle and arrested a suspect involved in Monday’s hit-and-run accident at East Colfax Avenue and Ogden Street.
Taylor Jo Mathis, 21, is being held on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving serious bodily injury.
Police believe Mathis was driving a white 2007 Kia Rio when she hit and seriously injured two pedestrians Monday just before 10:30 p.m. The vehicle was found Wednesday in west Denver.
Police say they were successful in locating the suspect and vehicle because witnesses provided key information and tips.
