Getting your player ready...

Chris Crosby, a Denver Post Mr. Colorado Basketball while at Chatfield before attending Washington State, has dabbled in assistant coaching in recent seasons, the past few at Class 5A Highlands Ranch under boys head coach Bob Caton.

Just as when he played, Crosby’s parents, Larry and Diana, are regulars in the stands and were there again Tuesday when the Falcons hosted Douglas County.

Crosby wouldn’t have it any other way.

“You have to realize, my sister and I, when we were done (playing), that was their life, going to sports games,” Crosby said. “Once we were done, there was a big void to fill. So once I got involved with this … it’s like family. So they’re huge supporters. They come to almost every home game. It’s great.”
