DENVER—A federal grand jury has handed down an indictment in a large-scale marijuana bust.
Authorities say 16 people were arrested on Wednesday as part of series of raids that targeted 25 locations in cities and counties across the metro area.
According to KUSA-TV ( ), a grand jury indictment unsealed on Thursday alleges Jordan Buehrer supervised the operation. Other allegations of the criminal case remain under a court seal.
Buehrer was being held on $100,000 bond.
The Adams County district attorney’s office and the North Metro Drug Task Force said they seized more than 2,700 marijuana plants, $278,500 in cash and 40 firearms. Authorities say the operation sent marijuana through the mail to California, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Texas.
