DENVER—Rema Rahman, a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism specializing in investigative news reporting, has been hired by The Associated Press to help cover state government and other news in Colorado.
The appointment was announced Monday by West Region Editor Traci Carl.
Rahman has worked the national security beat in Washington, D.C., for Medill News Service. In Chicago, she covered politics and legislative news for Medill. Most recently, Rahman was a reporter and editor at BBC.com’s World Features Desk in London.
Rahman, who speaks Arabic, has a bachelor’s degree in communications from Seton Hall University.
Rahman will work in the Denver bureau temporarily. She starts Feb. 13.
