Murder trial witness: Suspect’s mother didn’t know what would set off her son

BOULDER — A Lafayette man accused of killing his mother by stomping on her head terrorized and spied on the woman for months before her death last February, according to testimony his sister gave to a judge Monday morning.

Adam Raszynski, who is charged with second-degree murder in the Feb. 23 death of 60-year-old Rita Redford, is in court for a motions hearing that is being held to determine whether witnesses who claim that Redford was terrified of her son can testify at his trial in March.

Raszynski’s sister, Jennifer Billings, is on the stand this morning telling the court that her mother told her on multiple occasions that her son would take drugs, yell at her, follow her around in her Lafayette house and steal from her.
