Greenwood Village-based Ampio Pharmaceuticals Inc. said a preliminary review of its Ampion in Knee pain trial found positive results, suggesting that the product may be a therapeutic alternative to steroids for osteoarthritis.
Ampio, which develops new uses for approved drugs, is developing Ampion, a non-steroid injection and oral drug for the treatment of diseases involving inflammation.
