DENVER—An exploratory committee examining whether to recommend that Denver make a bid for the 2022 Winter Games is on track to complete its work and present its findings by the end of March.

The 22-member committee composed of business and civic leaders convened by Gov. John Hickenlooper and Denver Mayor Michael Hancock met Tuesday. Members are exploring the benefits and potential pitfalls of making a bid as well as taking inventory of existing and new venues needed to host the games.

Leaders in the Reno-Tahoe area are also considering making a bid, though the U.S. Olympic Committee says it’s not committed to backing an American bid.

The USOC and International Olympic Committee are in talks to resolve a dispute over sharing revenue from marketing and television.
