RICHMOND, Va. — The Virginia Senate passed a bill Wednesday that would require women to have an ultrasound before an abortion. The House is expected to easily pass the ultrasound bill in the coming weeks. Gov. Bob McDonnell, a Republican who opposes abortion rights, has already said he would sign it into law.
