This year’s annual Jane-A-Thon to benefit the state Invest in Kids’ programs is March 9-10, and the early registration has been extended to Friday. The 13th annual event raises money by counting how many runs you can do at Mary Jane in Winter Park. The corporate day is March 9, with the family day March 10. There are contests for vertical feet and speed, and among the prizes this year are Icelantic skis and a weekend in Scottsdale, Ariz. There are also events for kids on Saturday’s family day. Registration is for individuals or teams of four; the fee is $25 per person plus at least $100 in pledges per person (registration after Friday is $40). The fee covers a lift ticket, T-shift and apres food and drinks.
