Two men given unusual nicknames by law enforcement were given bank robbery charges by the Denver District Attorney’s Office.
Wayman Herrington, 24, is accused of being the “Pot Belly Bandit,” faces three counts of aggravated robbery in connection with a series of robberies in Denver between Jan. 26 and Jan. 30.
He also is suspected of several other robberies in the Denver metro area, prosecutors said. He is being held on $150,000 bond.
The alleged “Pretty in Pink Bandit,” Dustin Sharon, 25, faces five counts of aggravated robbery from a series of robberies in Denver between Jan. 12 and Jan. 30. He is being held on $400,000 bond.
The robber got the nickname from pink bandana and goggles worn during the robberies. He, too, is suspected in other robberies outside Denver.
