AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo.—A program that screens potential pilots for the Air Force Academy has flown its 100,000th flight.

The Air Force Academy says the 1st Flying Training Squadron at Pueblo Memorial Airport achieved the milestone on Friday.

The program, called initial flight screening, provides ground and flight training for academy cadets entering undergraduate programs for pilots, combat systems officers and operators of remotely piloted aircraft.

The academy says Doss Aviation operates the program under a 10-year, $200 million contract with the Air Force.
