A 51-year-old man in Loveland with a gunshot wound to the upper torso died Sunday night after being taken to a local hospital.

The Larimer coroner identified the man as Jeffrey Buckley, 51, of Loveland.

A woman called 911 at about 9:45 p.m. to report a shooting in the 1300 block of Cherry Avenue, according to a Larimer County Sheriff’s Office media release.

Deputies responding found the wounded man and he was taken to the Medical Center of the Rockies where he later died.

Investigators sealed off the home and are interviewing people about the incident. The woman who called 911 has been interviewed and the case remains under investigation.

No one has been arrested. Investigators believe the general public is not in danger in relation to the incident.
