FORT COLLINS, Colo.—New Colorado State football coach Jim McElwain says Al Simmons and Marty English will serve as his co-defensive coordinators.
English also will coach the defensive line.
Simmons coached safeties at UTEP last season, but he also has NFL experience. He was a defensive secondary coach for the San Francisco 49ers in 2003 and 2004. He also worked as an assistant at NFL training camps with the Dallas Cowboys in 2000, San Diego Chargers in 1999, Arizona Cardinals in 1996 and Los Angeles Raiders in 1993.
