COLORADO SPRINGS — A 23-year-old Colorado Springs man was arrested early Friday in connection with a fatal shooting near Academy Boulevard and Galley Road on Thursday, police said.
According to Colorado Springs police, Erik Camacho was taken into custody on suspicion of first-degree murder. Police said it appeared that Camacho and the victim, an adult male, knew each other. No other details are being released at this time.
Police continued their investitgation behind the Water Works car wash, 1108 N. Academy Boulevard Friday morning.
A man’s body was found Thursday evening in a parking lot outside Water Works car wash at Academy and Galley. The man was shot, died at the scene and was taken by ambulance to an area hospital Springs police said.
