Police are investigating the apparent accidental death of a worker in east Denver this afternoon.
The fatal incident happened at about 1:30 p.m. near East 33rd Avenue and Uinta Street, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
A cement worker was walking a ridge line when he fell into a five-foot hole and was gored by a spike or rebar, Jackson said.
The worker, a man in his mid- to late-30s, was not identified. He died at the scene in the Stapleton Central Park area.
