Getting your player ready...

Finally, it’s open. After months of waiting and watching and more waiting, Loveland’s Chair 9, which tops out on the Continental Divide at 12,697 feet, opened Sunday. Much of the steep stuff off The Ridge is not yet open, but just being able to get up on the Continental Divide opens up more options at the ski area — not to mention the incredible views. This is the latest Chair 9 has opened since the lift starting running for the 1998-99 season. It took awhile this season for Loveland to open the new quad that is Chair 4, which started turning Jan. 25.
