The James Beard Foundation Awards, considered the most prestigious honor in the food industry, announced their 2012 Restaurant and Chef Award Semifinalists this morning.
Several prominent Colorado names made the semifinal cut, including:
Best Chef: Southwest region: in Denver, in Denver, and Mark Fischer, chef at in Carbondale.
Outstanding Wine and Spirits Professional: .
Outstanding Wine Program: .
Outstanding Restaurateur: .
Outstanding Pastry Chef: Yasmin Lozada-Hissom, in Denver.
The finalists will be announced on March 19 in Las Vegas. Winners will be announced May 7, in New York City.
