COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A pit bull has been euthanized after biting a baby in the face, leaving the infant with serious injuries.
El Paso County sheriff’s deputies say the 9-month-old girl was attacked Sunday afternoon at a home in eastern El Paso County.
The family told authorities the dog had a bad leg. The baby bumped into the pet from behind, hurting the dog.
According to KKTV-TV ( ), the owner has been cited with unlawful ownership of a dangerous dog. The family was not identified.
