BOULDER —-The owners of the Arapahoe Village Shopping Center have taken steps to relocate tenants — including Bottles Wine & Spirits — and also to rework some leases as part of a broader effort to bring a “junior anchor tenant” to the property off 28th Street and Arapahoe Avenue in Boulder.
The changes, which include the departure of PlayFair Toys, a planned relocation of Bottles to a smaller space and the potential relocation of other tenants, was spurred by Safeway Inc.’s recent overhaul of its grocery store that anchors the center, said Will Damrath, a vice president regional officer for Arapahoe Village owner Regency Centers.
“We’ve really stepped back and said, ‘How do we invest in the center and make it better for the future going forward,'” Damrath said.
