Jogging strollers

Details: Kelty Single and Double Jogging Strollers — imported by Kelty, of Boulder, which is a division of American Recreation Products. These were sold at baby- and kid-product stores and sporting goods stores nationwide and by online between January 2010 and February 2012. The strollers have an aluminum frame and a cloth seat with a canopy. They were sold in color combinations of blue-and-gray and orange-and-gray. “Kelty Kids” is embroidered on the front of the stroller in the child’s leg area. The strollers were manufactured in the Philippines.

Why: The front wheel can come loose and cause the stroller to tip over, posing fall and injury hazards to children in the stroller and adults pushing the stroller.

Incidents: There have been three reported incidents that have included cuts, scrapes and fractured bones to adults, and minor cuts and scrapes to children.

How many: About 3,000

Infants’ Tylenol

Details: Earlier this month, Johnson & Johnson voluntary recalled 1-ounce bottles of grape-flavored Infants’ Tylenol Oral Suspension pain reliever/ fever reducer after some parents complained about the recently redesigned dosing measurement system. The recall primarily affects stores and wholesalers. Makes says consumers can still use the product provided that the protective cover at the top of the bottle remains in place.

The recall does not affect Tylenol for children 2 years and older.

Why: Called SimpleMeasure, the design includes a dosing syringe, which a parent or caregiver inserts into a protective cover, or “flow restrictor,” at the top of the bottle to measure the proper dose. In some cases, the flow restrictor was pushed into the bottle when inserting the syringe. If the flow restrictor is pushed into the bottle, the parent or caregiver should not use the product.

Incidents: Although no adverse events are associated with this recall, The New York Times reported that Johnson & Johnson has received 17 complaints about the product.

How many: Approximately 574,000 bottles

For more: Consumers can request a refund by visiting or calling 888-222-6036 Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday-Sunday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. . Parents and caregivers with any health questions or concerns should contact their health-care provider.

The multicolored plastic figures were sold in packs of 12, with each figure about 4 inches tall. “Super Luchamania” is printed on the packaging. The action figures were manufactured in Mexico.

Children’s slides

Details: Slalom Glider playground slides that have a curved shape and are made from molded plastic. The 6-foot- high slides include an arched, tubular steel access ladder and were manufactured by Landscape Structures Inc. of Delano, Minn. The recalled product comes as a stand-alone slide or as an attachment to other playground equipment. The slides have model numbers 156456 and 172627, and were sold in combinations of colors including red, blue, tan, green, gray and white. The slides were sold to schools and other facilities with playground equipment nationwide between January 2006 and December 2011.

Why: The slide lacks a transition platform on the top and sides of the chute. That has caused some children to fall when moving from the ladder to the slide, or when descending the slide.

Incidents: Sixteen reports of injuries to children younger than 8, including 14 fractures to arms and legs, a fractured collar bone and bruises.

How many: About 900
