BOULDER, Colo.—Boulder officials are trying to determine if toxic chemicals were used on three floors at a recreation center.

Boulder recreation spokeswoman Jennifer Bray says the rubberized flooring contains elevated levels of mercury and lead.

According to the Boulder Daily Camera ( ), the floors that were built decades ago pose no immediate danger because they have been covered by wood and carpet.
