A Brighton man is accused of using his position as a contract embalmer in the metro area to steal gold crowns and fillings from bodies and cremated remains and pawning them in Longmont and other cities.

A Boulder County grand jury indicted Adrian David Kline, 43, on suspicion of eight counts of providing false information to a pawnbroker and two counts of providing false information to a secondhand dealer. He turned himself in Friday.

Longmont pawnbrokers noticed Kline was repeatedly pawning dental gold. They thought it was “creepy” and “weird” and called police.
