A fatal residential fire on the Eastern Plains was accidental and authorities have identified the man who died in the blaze.
Ronald A. Skaggs, 54, died in Monday’s trailer home fire near Brush, according to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office.
Skaggs was the only resident of the home, 26540 Road T, No. 4, and the initial investigation indicates no foul play involved.
A neighbor, Jim Wilson, spotted the fire and alerted another neighbor who called 911 for help.
Wilson tired to get into the home but couldn’t because of intense fire.
When firefighters arrived the fire was still heavy, with flames and smoke streaming from the trailer. Firefighters discovered the body after they got the fire under control.
