The body of a woman found along a lonely Adams County road has been identified as Brandi Allen, 31, of Thornton.

The body was discovered by a passerby at about 6:55 p.m. Sunday in the 9800 block of Quincy Street, said Adams County Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Terrance O’Neill.

The area where the body was found is mostly undeveloped, just off Tower Road between Denver International Airport and the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. Investigators continue to work to determine how her body came to be there.

Allen’s body was fully clothed and there was no sign of obvious trauma.

Her death may have been due to a drug overdose, O’Neill said. “We’re awaiting the toxicology report in the case.”

The incident is being investigated as a homicide, O’Neill said.
