DENVER—Six Colorado cities and counties are asking the state for more money to boost tourism.
Aurora wants money for a hotel complex, Douglas County wants a sports complex, Estes Park wants a recreation park, Glendale is seeking a riverfront complex, Montrose County wants money to create jobs and Pueblo wants more money for a river walk.
According to the Denver Post ( ), the Colorado Economic Development Commission will decide by May 18 which one or two projects will receive rebates on the state taxes generated by their projects.
The projects cannot exceed a combined $50 million a year.
