Sergio Garcia required five golf balls to make a 12 on the par-4 third hole Sunday at the Cadillac Championship in Doral, Fla. Garcia began with an eagle, but two holes later his tee shot failed to clear the pond on the 438-yard hole. He took a penalty drop in the rough and three times failed to clear the pond. Garcia finally went over the green with his ninth shot, chipped onto the green to 35 feet and two-putted for a 12. “Not today, guys,” he told reporters after the round. “I don’t have the energy.”
