Translation: Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced he’s scheduled to travel to Mexico City with 40 others next week on an economic development mission.
He’ll make the trip with a delegation to include state Agriculture Commissioner John Salazar and Ken Lund, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
The group is to meet with current and potential buyers of products made in Colorado, the governor’s office said in a news release.
The four-day trip is intended to showcase the state’s agricultural exports and tourism. They’ll meet with government officials regarding bilateral trade agreements and explore how the state can help with Mexico’s renewable energy needs.
The trip is paid for by a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration, the OEDIT and registration fees paid by businesses represented on the trip.
The delegation is scheduled to leave Sunday and return Wednesday.
