A man was pulled off a Denver bus and arrested this morning after he allegedly started slashing the seats with a sharp object.

Around 7:10 a.m., officers received a report about a man who was using what appeared to be a knife to damage the seats of an RTD bus traveling east on Colfax Avenue, said Det. John White, a spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

The bus was stopped near the corner of Colfax Avenue and Lincoln Street. Some of the passengers were removed from the bus after three police cars arrived at the scene.

The man was arrested without incident.

No injuries were reported and no additional weapons were found.

The suspect’s name has not been released.
