As a group of people argued in the street east of Nome Park in Aurora tonight, one of them pulled out a gun and fired off at least one shot, wounding another person, Aurora police said.

The wound was described as non-life-threatening, but officers have very little information on who pulled the trigger, said police spokesman Frank Fania.

The shooting happened near East 13th Avenue and Moline Street, a block south of East Colfax Avenue, at about 9 p.m.

The department’s gang unit is involved in the investigation, Fania said.

Anyone with information can call Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-786, send a text message to CRIMES (274637) with the title DMCS.
