The sixth annual Vintage Voltage Expo is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and offers more than 90 tables of vintage electronics including antique and ham radios, speakers, 8 tracks, vinyl records, turntables, electric guitars, amps and more. The Colorado Radio Collectors Club will have its annual booth and Atomic Gracie, Miss Modernism, will meet and greet attendees from 11 to 11:30 and perform on her electronic violin at noon. Celebrate Elton John’s 65th birthday with singing and cake at 2 p.m. (No, he will not be there.) Admission is $5, children 12 and under are free. Early birds get in the door at 10 a.m. for $10. Choose from 10 beginner classes offered as part of “Learn to Sew Week”Monday through April 1 at Fabric Bliss. Each class is $30 and students receive a 15 percent discount on all supplies. The store hosts a Sewing Studio, Knitting Lounge, knitting and sewing classes for all levels and sells a variety of fabric and yarn. Customers can rent time on a sewing machine and get advice from staff. Take a peek in the homemade boutique showcasing works by local artists. “Sky on a String: The Kites of George Peters and Melanie Walker” is on display at the Museum of Outdoor Arts through July 21. Museumgoers will see large-scale kites, figurative kites, insect kites, birds and photo kites. The exhibit also features Japanese kites and a collection of miniature kites from around the world. The Rocky Mountain Map Society presents “The Discovery of the New World through Old Maps” with Wesley Brown in a free program at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Brown will present slides of original antique maps, printed between 1472 and 1540, from his own collection. He has been a student, collector and author of old maps for more than 30 years and co-founded the Rocky Mountain Map Society in 1990.
