Executives from Japan’s All Nippon Airways visited Denver this week, a spokeswoman for Denver Mayor Michael Hancock confirmed Thursday.
DIA and Denver officials have worked for years to woo the airline to bring nonstop service from Denver to Tokyo.
Amber Miller, a spokeswoman for the mayor, said the executives were on their way to an industry conference in Arizona.
“A nonstop flight between Denver and Tokyo remains a top priority, and the meetings held were part of the city’s continued relationship-building efforts,” she said.
