A recent $250,000 donation by North Colorado Medical Center Inc. kicks off a fund-raising campaign to build a new financial education center at the University of Northern Colorado’s Monfort College of Business.
The new center will replace the existing trading room, which is utilized by the award-winning Student and Foundation Fund class to manage $1 million of the UNC Foundation’s investments, and will be open to other students.
The renovation will include technology upgrades, a new trading room, teaching lab, multi-use conference room and an auxiliary classroom. The interior entrance off of the main lobby on the second floor of Kepner Hall will also be renovated.
