• Boulder-based OPX Biotechnologies Inc. announced a milestone in commercializing its more-economical and renewable alternative to petroleum-based acrylic acid. The company successfully demonstrated its fermentation process for bio-based acrylic acid at the 3,000-liter scale. Acrylic is used in products such as diapers, detergents, paints and adhesives.
